Title : Hardware Lab Technician – Thermal

Location : Redmond, WA
Duration : 8+ Months


Responsibility:

        Test Thermal performance / characterization under varying system load / common use scenarios.
        Must have experience doing thermal testing on a handheld product such as Tablet, Laptop, Camera, or such.
        Must have EE Tech background and be very familiar in an electronics lab setting including setup and operation of test equipment, soldering.
        Familiarity with Thermal test equipment including thermocouple data acquisition systems, Thermal IR cameras, and Thermal chambers is strongly preferred
        Must be familiar with concepts related to Thermal tuning, Thermal safety.
        Test Instrumentation installation experience (Direct experience with DAQ, Power Supply, Power Meter hardware is a MUST)

Skills:

        Strong MS office skills (particularly Excel), LabVIEW is a plus ·
        Knowledge of Windows operating systems.
        Strong organizational skills.
        Work from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and troubleshooting functions ·
        Offer suggestions for design modifications and improvements based on lab observations
        Demonstrate critical thinking skills Hands-on skill in
        Mechanical assembly and machining.

Qualification:

        Associate Degree in Technical Field or equivalent professional experience ·
        5 - 7 years of technical experience preferred.
