Title : Hardware Lab Technician – Thermal
Location : Redmond, WA
Duration : 8+ Months
Responsibility:
• Test Thermal performance / characterization under varying system load / common use scenarios.
• Must have experience doing thermal testing on a handheld product such as Tablet, Laptop, Camera, or such.
• Must have EE Tech background and be very familiar in an electronics lab setting including setup and operation of test equipment, soldering.
• Familiarity with Thermal test equipment including thermocouple data acquisition systems, Thermal IR cameras, and Thermal chambers is strongly preferred
• Must be familiar with concepts related to Thermal tuning, Thermal safety.
• Test Instrumentation installation experience (Direct experience with DAQ, Power Supply, Power Meter hardware is a MUST)
Skills:
• Strong MS office skills (particularly Excel), LabVIEW is a plus ·
• Knowledge of Windows operating systems.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Work from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and troubleshooting functions ·
• Offer suggestions for design modifications and improvements based on lab observations
• Demonstrate critical thinking skills Hands-on skill in
• Mechanical assembly and machining.
Qualification:
• Associate Degree in Technical Field or equivalent professional experience ·
• 5 - 7 years of technical experience preferred.
