Client is looking for Planning Specialist
Location: : Lake Forest, IL

Job
Description :
- Maintains sales forecasts,
by list number and reviews with Marketing.
- Develops, transmits, and
implements formal list number loadings to the plant.
- Defines and manages
inventory levels to maintain customer-service targets.
- Defines inventory strategy,
in times of product shortage, or product transition. Sets and acheives
finished goals by product line.
- Coordinates the stock of new
products. Develops loading, overtime, and headcount strategies by
manufacturing unit to ensure execution of agreed-upon strategy.
- Ensures that critical
low-stock products are made visible to appropriate parties and
identify/implement changes to correct, as applicable.
- Develops annual capacity
plans. Reviews products that could potentially outdate for donations.
Provides plant support, as needed.
- Provides Materials
Management leadership to support major projects. Reconciles plans to
current sales/inventory levels and recommend corrective strategies.
Experience, Skills, and Educational Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 year’s experience in Inventory Management, Production Scheduling, Manufacturing, Operations, Distribution, Marketing, or Finance.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Economics, or the Sciences. APICS Certification desirable, but not a must. Master's Degree a plus.
- Strong SAP and systems skills desirable.
