Job
Description :
•
Create
an automated process to maintain database schemas for large databases including
upgrade scripts, rollback scripts and establish processes for maintaining and
validating backwards compatibility with existing applications as new versions
of those applications are rolled out across the cluster.
•
Create
automation scripts to deploy a SQL Server 2016 cluster with Always On
Availability Groups into a Microsoft Azure environment.
•
Create
automation scripts to deploy a SQL Server 2016 cluster with Always On
Availability Groups into private cloud environments.
•
Create
automation scripts to deploy a SQL Server 2016 cluster with Always On
Availability Groups onto a developer's workstation.
•
Create
scripts to automate the creation of databases within an Always On Availability
Group.
•
Create
and test automated processes to fail over Always On Availability Groups for
monthly patching.
•
Implement
backup and restore processes for 1 TB size databases in Microsoft Azure that
respect bandwidth / IOPS limitations in public cloud.
•
Implement
backup and restore processes for 1 TB size databases in private cloud
environments.
•
Perform
load tests and iterate through performance improvements. Additionally implement
/ provide guidance on metrics that will need to be tracked for load testing and
long term soak tests.
•
Optimize
index maintenance processes.
